Counseling
Couples counseling can be a very useful tool when people wish to increase their level of
happiness, fulfillment and intimacy. It is also a wonderful tool when people are experiencing
repetitive fights; feelings of distance, anger, unhappiness and resentments toward their
spouse or significant other.
At Safe Journey Counseling, I address couples feelings and problems. I educate the couple
that blaming one another will not bring intimacy to their relationship. I demonstrate ways of
communication that will increase your friendship, so the outcome of counseling is a win, win
situation for both of you. Long lasting, loving relationships, are Not filled with criticism,
defensiveness, resentment or stonewalling.
They are relationships in which;
- Both partners are willing to work at learning and using new tools that will add
- Both partners must be equally responsible for what happens in the
relationship.
- Both partners must be willing to look at family of origin/social influences, that
may be influencing romantic attractions, as well as the type of expectations,
disappointments, dissatisfactions and conflicts that will arise as the
relationship matures.
