My name is Michael Harmon, I am the director of Safe Journey Counseling. I am a
Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Arizona. I have  been working for the past
fourteen years helping people find satisfaction and enjoyment in their relationships.

       I specialize in helping, couples, pre-marriage couples, marriages and family relationships.
This also includes counseling for adolescents, step families and parenting skills for those
who have teenagers. Because relationships are my speciality, I have been trained
according to the highest standards possible. I have undergone training in programs that
are evidenced based and created by two of the top marriage authorities in the United States,
Dr. John Gottman and Dr. Scott Stanley. Both have been conducting research on
relationships for the past thirty years.

 Dr. Gottman and Dr. Stanley have found, many marriages and relationships fail because the
couple lacks the tools necessary to deal with important issues that come from any close
relationship. While the dynamics of a successful relationship are complex and changing. I
educate couples to focus on factors they can control and give couples the tools to safely
and effectively manage life's surprises.
